John P. Flynt, Ph.D., works in the software development industry, hastaught at colleges and universities, and has authored courses andcurricula for several college-level game development programs. Hisacademic background includes work in information technology, the socialsciences, and the humanities. Among his works are In the Mind of aGame, Simulation and Event Modeling for Game Developers (with co-authorBen Vinson), and Software Engineering for Game Developers. John livesin the foothills near Boulder, Colorado.
Boris Meltreger graduated from a top mathematics and physics highschool in Russia. He went on to earn an advanced degree in opticalengineering. After completing a dissertation on acoustics and optics,Boris took up work for the Russian government developing opticalcomputers. He has been the recipient of engineering awards for his workand has owned his own engineering company. Boris has in recent yearsperformed pioneering work in the development of optical technologiesfor medical applications and currently works as a software engineer.Boris lives in Aurora, Colorado
