Grant Palmer is the author of the acclaimed Java Programmer’s Referenceand is a recognized expert in both the C# and Java languages. Grant hasworked as a scientific programmer in the Space Technology Division atthe NASA Ames Research Center for the past 20 years. This has involvedworking with Java since 1996, developing programs for scientificapplications as well as converting older FORTRAN and C applications tothe Java and C# platforms.
Jacquie Barker is a professional software engineer, author, andadjunct faculty member at George Mason University (GMU) in Fairfax,Virginia and The George Washington University (GWU) in Washington, D.C.With over 25 years of experience as a hands–on software engineer andproject manager, Jacquie has spent the past 12 years focusing on objecttechnology, becoming proficient as an object modeler and SunMicrosystems–certified Java developer.
