What is an ASP File?

• An ASP file is just the same as an HTML file
  ASP文件与HTML文件大致相同
• An ASP file can contain text, HTML, XML, and scripts
  ASP文件当中可以包含文本、超文本标记语言、可扩展标记语言和脚本
• Scripts in an ASP file are executed on the server
  ASP文件中的脚本程序是在服务器上执行的
• An ASP file has the file extension ".asp"
  ASP文件的扩展名是“.asp”

How Does ASP Differ from HTML?
ASP与HTML有什么不同？

• When a browser requests an HTML file, the server returns the file
  当浏览器对一个HTML文件发出浏览请求时，服务器直接发送这个文件
• When a browser requests an ASP file, IIS passes the request to the ASP engine. The ASP engine reads the ASP file, line by line, and executes the scripts in the file. Finally, the ASP file is returned to the browser as plain HTML
  当浏览器对一个ASP文件发出浏览请求时，IIS先将这个请求传递给ASP引擎；然后ASP引擎开始一行一行地解读这个被请求的ASP文件，并且，在解读的同时，执行这个ASP文件当中的脚本程序；最终，这个被解读完的ASP文件将以HTML数据流的形式被发送到浏览器，（也就是我们看到的最终的ASP网页效果）。
